Maybe I'm just a cheapskate but I have no idea why this book is so freakishly expensive compared to all other books out there especially since it's so short. I received the digital copy for free but I still take issue with the fact that the ebook is listed for $16.

That being said, it is a fairly good book but don't think that this is going to magically change your life, especially for the price tag. It does offer some food for thought that I think everyone should have the chance to mull over. I like that the authors included the intellectual angle in the book too. I think that's often neglected.

Politically I agree with the authors 115% but I don't agree that their vision of a healthy person is the only way to be a healthy person. I would have liked to see a little more balance and maybe less political stuff (even though I absolutely agree with the "citizen of the world" part). I think it would have been better to just focus on the critical thinking angle and bring up those questions for the reader to wrestle with. When you get into telling a person what the best way to think about a situation is you're not helping them live their life better you're just reinforcing what it is they've been doing before they read your book - to blindly accept whatever someone tells them as the truth.

25 Days to Better Thinking Better Living Linda Elder Richard W Paul 9780137071135 Books Reviews

The most interesting thing revealed to me was to put myself in the other persons perspective-listening to what the other person has to offer. I found that I would like to keep revisiting the book to reinforce it so perhaps I can change my way of thinking.
Great practical book!

A pretty short guide for personal growth with unlimited opportunities for practicing the better thinking and living
Impulse buy, ... never got around to it
Lo recomiendo, es una guia importante para abrir la mente y para crecer como persona. La ultima parte del libro menciona libros que debe leer, simplemente genial para equilibrar la parte intelectual de cualquier persona!
I'm looking forward to moving through all 25 days (25 tips) for better thinking; I know I'm guilty of many of the dysfunctional and negative thoughts noted. I'm aware of the negativity in my thoughts and those around me, and how it affects me. I think many people will benefit from this book, and especially understanding the ripple effect that is thoughts/feelings/actions. Think good thoughts and make it a great day!
I was excited when I began reading this book as it contained a great list of ideas and seemed to be on track with other critical thinking books I have read. It gave solid ideas on how to look and evaluate your thinking. THEN.... it went off the cliff for me. Interjecting strong and often ultra liberal politically correct perspectives on world/state/government issues that really were a turn off. It is too bad because there are some great ideas in the book. I almost stopped reading it because of the jamming of an agenda into it-- but I carried on and found more useful information.
It was a little dry at times, but so long as I was able to keep up the Journaling portions it really did move along at a good pace. It took while to get back to if I got busy though. It's hard to find time for THIS much Journaling.
